Michael Wells

Michael J. Wells is the founder & CEO of WELLS Risk Management Solutions, LLC, a company that specializes in Emergency Plans and Development and training products. Michael has over twenty-five years of experience in the fields of Weapons of Mass Destruction Non-proliferation, Homeland Security and Emergency Management. Michael spent nine years in the US Army Chemical Corps., and was deployed in 1997, to SFOR, Bosnia and in 2002 – 2003 to Kuwait and Iraq for Operation Enduring Freedom and Operation Iraqi Freedom. From 2004 – 2008, Michael worked at the US Capitol Police – Hazardous Materials Response Team (HMRT), protecting Members of Congress and the public from CBRNE incidents. In 2008, Michael was appointed as
as a Chemical Weapons Inspector, Chemical Weapons/Munitions Specialist (CWMS) at the Organisation for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons (OPCW) and performed verification activities from 2008 - 2016. Michael was a Chemical Weapons Inspector for the OPCW when the organization was awarded the 2013 Nobel Peace Prize for its efforts to destroy the chemical weapons in Syria. Michael has also worked as an Operations Specialist at the Pueblo Chemical Depot in Pueblo, CO, a CBRNE Investigative Specialist at the Pentagon Force Protection Agency (PFPA) and as a WMD Modeler/Operations Specialist at the Pentagon Operations Center.
