This course will cover types of organizational risk, the basic principles of risk management, how to conduct a proper risk assessment, and an examination of risk treatment options. This class is open to everyone however, it is aimed at:

Instructor - Betty Kildow, CBCP, FBCI
A skilled instructor, DRII Certified Business Continuity Professional (CBCP) and a Fellow of the Business Continuity Institute (FBCI), Betty is also an ISO 22301 Master, an ISO 28000 Lead Implementer and Lead Auditor. Betty writes and teaches public and in-house business continuity, supply chain continuity, resilience, risk management, and related courses. She has been an adjunct professor at UC Berkeley and the Massachusetts Maritime Academy and writes and teaches business continuity classes for I-Gouvernancia in Morocco. She is author of the book “A Supply Chain Management Guide to Business Continuity” (published in English and Japanese) as well as articles published in professional magazines and journals in North America, Asia, and Europe. Betty is a frequent speaker on topics including business continuity, supply chain continuity, crisis management, and resilience. She is a graduate with distinction of the University of California, Berkeley’s Emergency Preparedness, Planning, and Management Program.
